I think this was obvious since Day 1. Google views itself as THE demigod of global business entities. It's pride and arrogance know no bounds. In response to justified legal challenge by a relatively unknown upstart (V) over Google's outright theft of IP, G vowed to fight to the very end regardless of time, cost, resources expended or principles ditched by the way side. What is money to Google? Nothing, for all intents and purposes; after all, cash is flowing into G's coffers faster than water over Niagara, and growing by leaps and bounds. It's advantageous to delay-delay-delay when every day delayed brings in a king's ransom. Larry and Sergey must be snickering themselves silly.
From Day one Google has been surreptitiously slamming Vs stock and company without coming up for air. There are certainly enough hedgies out there who would do G's bidding for a favor or two. Retail buyers keep whining how V can't seem to hold onto gains, and criticize Vringo when the real black rabbit in the hat is Google itself. Why is no one enraged at Google? I guess we know nothing. Humans are predators, but human nature doesn't extent to the level of the boardroom, does it? Yes, I'm long and underwater. I expect to be there for a long time to come. Best of luck to everyone who entered Vringo with high hopes that justice will prevail. I certainly believe it will, but increasingly feel very foolish about it. Oh, sorry, all the above is just my humble opinion.
