If Rambus holds out for top dollar now in settlement talks, what would amigos gain by accepting? They could easily prolong things for 3 or 4 more years before Rambus won a final settlement.

If top dollar was $1 billion - $500 milion now would look pretty good - and could easily be worth $700 or $800 million in three or four years and no litigation risk.

True Rambus would not recover all money due it - and its not fair- and nor were things in Va.
