I get the impression it was sudden. No full time replacement. No good explanation of why.
SS was fired shortly after quarter's end, a release that was strangely opaque and a pitch to investors containing information various folks questioned. I don't know if any of these things contributed.
There were numerous reasons why SS had to go. But I could use some direction on Wave's plans going forwards.
Has the board given up on the grand plan SS offered but couldn't execute?
Do they think Solms will continue SS plan but may be able to generate demand? The release suggests this but - well - of course it does.
Or are they planning to sell Wave to a purchaser such as MS - because it is becoming clear that mobile isn't happening soon and Apple isn't coming to the TCG party?
A new direction is fraught with risks. But the old plan never seemed to deliver a worthwhile result so things had to change. It took the board far too long to act.
