Market makers make a lot of money with these pink sheet dilution scams. They sell shares they don't own at an inflated price. For example they sell shares 20 million shares they don't own at .004 they will cover them at .0002. That's selling for $80,000 and covering at 8,000 which is of course a $72,000 profit. With the daily volume of this stock over 100 million shares traded a day for about three weeks, the total profit by the market makers will be far greater then the example I gave. That's Naked short selling
You are right, a lot of money was made based on hype and deceit
