Sep 30, 2013 (ACCESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- LAS VEGAS, NV- (Accesswire) September 30th 2013 Cal-Bay International, Inc. (Pinksheets:CBYI) Today announced the company has entered negotiations with a Virginia based manufacturing company whose state of the art patented technology allows for the production of lightweight automotive wheel rims and a potential replacement of the Steel Belts used in conventional tire manufacturing. Whilst the material has many other applications, the focus and negotiations for Cal-Bay is in the automotive and vehicular sector.
The cost comparative material is a much more durable than traditional carbon fiber alternatives, and is derived from natural resources. Laboratory tests to date have confirmed the high strength, dimensional stability, design flexibility and excellent electrical properties are some of the characteristics that ensure optimum performance and economy with this highly engineered material. For the automotive industry the following thermal tests alone prove the product appears to be one of the optimum naturally derived recyclable materials available today, with a Working Range of 200F to 1400F and a melting point of approximately 3000F along with a Heat Transfer Factor w/m of 0.031 - 0.038, this material used in the manufacture of Wheel Rims and Tire Belts, could easily be one of the safest and innovative materials available today.
A Cal-Bay spokesperson confirmed the company has been in negotiations for some time with the manufacturer and is awaiting additional data from the extensive tests performed by the company for use of the fiber material used as an alternative to the steel belts, currently used in the manufacturing of conventional tires.
