Good advice as ever Toofuzzy.

If I am 20 years old and starting to invest,saving $5,000 / year, it will take me 4 years to even start AIMing one AIM account


For a 20 year old, 100% stock is perhaps OK. A AIM alternative to that is to use AIM HI (20% initial cash reserve).

BRK B series is somewhat stock index like (BRK holds something like 30 other businesses)

Here's a AIM HI variant (20% Buy Safe, 0% sell Safe, 10% min trade size, Vealie 20%), initially allocated $2066 total (stock+cash). Total gains. I chose $2066 as the share price at the start date was $20.66 so it allows for better direct comparison in the chart of AIM total portfolio value (top of blue bars) compared to 100% buy and hold (red line).
