just an update regarding statins....im not 100% sure combo is the way to go with amarin

ill explain why...as most of you know im a pharmacist in england and recently i posted an article here about statins causing corneal problems. Speaking to an optician friend of mine he relayed similar worries about statin use with his parents and this got me worried. Now in the pharmacy the other day 2 patients came in with worries about using their statins long term and asking for a risk benefit analaysis and honestly i explained its relatively new however im pretty sure in the short term the cardioprotective benefits of statins will outweigh the risks


however i wonder that once more research is done into this will statins eventually come under a full review here in the uk and possibly abroad?
