As to number eight, I agree that PTQ means much to Richard, but more as legacy as I see it. Perhaps I am wrong about the financial
incentive, but I have never had the impression it was for personal wealth.
The award and investiture referenced in number nine that was performed in Andalusia carries a lot of weight in certain circles
even in Panama. I would expect that to bear fruit through the hierarchy of the church whose members have great influence, but mostly behind the scenes. If you research the history of Panama, the relationship with the Crown, Church, and the Duke's family, along with the the Peninsulares, you may reach the conclusion that there is a lot of influence particularly in Cocle, Verugas, and on the Comarca. I think that will be manifested at Cerro Colorado a few years down the road.
This of course does not diminish the political ties, networking, and woven web of investment in the mining sector development, by elite deep pockets and those of different political stripes in Panama. The bottom line is that the whole process will indeed move forward and reward those who have accumulated a piece of the pie. Perhaps soon there will be a move to the next plateau. In any case, this certainly is a generational investment for those wishing to stay the course.
When you make the money you are seeking, I would encourage you to hold a little core for the long term. I remember friends who bought IBM in the 1960's at $5.00 and sold in the 1980's at $35.00, but then they watched it climb to $200.00. Who knows if this is such an opportunity, but mining will be the biggest thing in Panama's future this next generation, and it would be nice have a little stashed away.
