*Sigh*.....I lived through this once already, remember? In person. Just google it if you don't believe me - the fed government has been spending money on continuing resolutions, which are totally different from the debt ceiling. If the shutdown occurs, the FDA WILL CLOSE DOWN except for some inspections and enforcement agents. In theory, the PDUFA may be designed to pay for drug approval costs, in reality the money gets swallowed into one big pot - it's not set aside in a piggy bank to pay for those in the FDA who run the process.
