I think the only thing you two are arguing about is whether SKS knows the exact number. My answer is it could go either way. It depends on the specificity of the RFP in the first place so you may be technically correct on SKS not knowing the exact number of servers v. pieces of software -- or you may not.

To me, the point you seem to be ignoring is that the "right to hunt" is not really much of a problem when the POTUS has issued an order to build the corral and slaughter the deer. This is not a 100 million dollar maybe contract to assemble and build a space platform over 5 years. This is a presidential order to get the Federal security house in order before it becomes a real problem for the country. It may not walk, talk, or waddle like a duck, but the contract presents the Army with an interoperable server to manage an approved (Maybe the only approved) certificate system for IDENTIFICATION -- which I've call authentication, attestation, device attestation. The contract is a down payment on building the system.

I have NO IDEA how fast the money will show up in a quarterly conference call, but it will....and SKS has a pretty good idea - maybe as gokite says a perfect idea of how many certificates are projected in this first build out just as he knew how many systems needed to be used for the USMA.

We've come from it will never be needed -- it won't work --- to contracts with the GSA to provide the product as a routine buy up to a 100 million dollars. Now, let's see if the Navy buys in, the air force...one of those multi-billion dollar projects where we get our cut....please provide a table based on 1 5 or 10 percent of that kind of deal. I'm not hyping...I am hoping.

But I guess when we get 10% of a deal like that...the nay sayers will drag out the low buyout routine..... I on the other hand think we will need splits to handle the buying pressure from the institutions... sometime next year.
