Since I have been following this stock I have never been so uncertain as to what was about to happen next as I am now.

Where is this stock going to go? I am truly struggling to guess.

It seems there is certainly potential for a buyout which would cause a rise. I say this because of the recent decisions by management, the inside buying, and the quietness. As another poster mentioned they could be negotiating for a fair price, and are holding the extra shares as a negotiating tool. This seems the most likely to me, and there are several companies that might have interest in purchasing them.
If this is the case, the question would then be are we going to receive a nice bump from the buyout, or a huge dip from the poison pill.

It also seems that there is potential that there is a big deal on the table, I see this as less likely though. You would think there would be some sort of rumors around if this deal were big enough to be causing early celebration amongst management.

There is also the potential that the management is on its way out, which could be followed by the entire company itself. With rising competitors, and the utter lack of any actual momentum from this company I see this as a depressing, but very possible outcome.

Then of course something else entirely could be going on.
