This is my first post on this board. I have been following this board for the past few months now. Thanks to all who post on this board.

Depends on what you're after - reducing TGs or reducing inflammation - for the former, "fish oil", at least the OTC EPA stuff, does work, just not as well as V - I got my TGs down from 395 to 177 after 6 months on OmegaJoy +EPA, 2g/day. Of course my LDL-C went up 25% and it did nothing for inflammation, but it *did* succeed in more than halving my TGs. Still haven't gotten my Lp-PLA2 etc. test results back though - weird - been two weeks now. Guess the holiday weekend put the lab behind schedule.

Few Questions:
1) From the label, it looks like this supplement does not contain significant amount of DHA. So why do you think your LDL-C went up? Do you think the actual DHA content might be more than that on the label?
2) Why do you think these supplements did not help with the inflammation? Looks like you are taking 2g EPA per day (4 capsules per day, right?)
