Did Doc actually have that heart condition he claimed before he left the U.S. a decade ago "in the dark of night?"

Penny stocks often layer on impediments to legal challenges. Some change CPAs and management frequently. Others spread their activities over multiple legal jurisdictions. Many are unfathomable business kludges... nonsensical morphing combinations such as pens and real estate and electronics. Hartcourt did all that, and more.

Seems Phan's "heart condition" was convenient. Would the SEC target an ailing 60ish man, or an equally guilty but healthy 40 year old? Especially in the aftermath of Enron and the dot com/penny stock collapse there were plenty of healthier targets for the overworked SEC/FBI... Targets that weren't going to escape a costly prosecution in a pine box.

Too bad for Possino that he looks fit and tan in photos. And his 60,000 tapped phone calls and 24,000 text messages prove a remarkable sort of modern-day vigor. Anyone who could do that can surely be productive as a long term employee in a prison laundry.

"The FBI said in a press release that its investigation included a series of wiretaps that resulted in the interception of more than 60,000 phone calls and 24,000 text messages."
