Canadian TFSA part 2
*big thanks to the mods for allowing this to stand*

highlights of a phone conversation with a CRA rep regarding investing through your TFSA:

1) There is no "list" of stocks or securities that are actually allowed or not
2) The Rep admitted that your bank or your broker would know better than they do, but gave me this link to read from their website that gives the requirements and definitions

http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/tfsa-celi/txtn/nnqlfdnvst-eng.html

If you click on the first underscored term "non-qualified investment" it will bring up a list of terms.
In that list will be a description of "qualified investment" in which is says the following:

Qualified investment
An investment in properties, including money, guaranteed investment certificates (GICs), government and corporate bonds, mutual funds, and securities listed on a designated stock exchange. The types of investments that qualify for TFSAs are generally similar to those that qualify for registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs).

the part of "and securities listed on a designated stock exchange" is what the CRA rep said would allow us to keep our shares in WMIH in our TFSA accounts.

Therefore, i'm asking anyone who's still reading this if they could provide any information they would know about WMIH being traded on a german stock exchange, i recall a few posters used to talk with investors across the pond or perhaps their still reading this board.
TIA

to you canucks, cheers and thanks for the response
