LQMT would use overseas labor cost vs US for large production plus taxes/EPA/OSHA would also cut into cost in manufacturing for a startup. I know this business well only prototypes and custom orders would be done on a small scale. I work closely with a company that makes the run of the mill orders and only special fabricated versions are made state side. Same process used but more expensive. The cases for apple will be made overseas regardless if they are made of liquid metal or not.
