hh The only "money" that is in the market is in "shares". If the "money" is not in "shares" it is not in the market.
Of course we are talking about the equities market.
We can put our money in the equities market OR we can put our money in the Money Market. We cannot put it in both places at the same time. So when our money is in the equities market in the form of shares, which is the only way money can be in the equities market, it is perfectly reasonable to say that our money is in the equities market.
