What does ALL PENDING MOTIONS mean? And what is the next step? Is the judge making her decision?

If their is a money making viable product ready to market why dont the two companies just work things out on their own so they can start commercializing this product instead of losing valuable time and missing an opportunity? Am I being incredibly naive? Or just logical.
