What I'm saying is ---
--- Sony isn't characterizing anything as "compliant with Wave";
--- Sony is talking about compliance with version 1.1b of the TCG specification; and
--- Sony is saying (separately) that Wave's software comes with its platform.

I guess this means I disagree with you about "less of a commitment," because I don't think Sony is saying "Wave's stuff will work if you want to go out and get it." I think what Sony is saying is ---
--- its platform has a TPM;
--- the TPM is compliant with version 1.1b of the TCG specification; and
--- Wave's software comes in the box.
