JL, I appreciate your 30yrs of experience and I agree with most of your opinions. I have 18 years experience calling on cardiologist as well as PCP's and a lot of PCP's are listed as Cardiologists. Amarin is going after the high prescribers based on the data they purchase from IMS or whom ever. You are speaking from your own myopic view, I live the business everyday. Trust me all your points are valid except this one. One of the most important and valuable ways to grow the business is for a rep to merchandise their samples, make sure physicians do not give them all away to one patient, and to constantly remind the physician about the efficacy of Vascepa. Reps are put in place to bring commonsense to very intelligent physicians(that seem to lack it!) and break them of their habits. Detailing and sampling might not work for you or your cohorts, but it does work for the majority of physicians out there. Everything else JZ is doing is spot on, it just takes time, Peace Brother!
