enjoyable perspective from elsewhere

Thoroughly enjoyed reading the comments regarding AMRN, with earnings due tomorrow. It did not occur to me,(I'm a lousy record keeper, and am terrible at remembering appointments) that I have a Dr's appt. for tomorrow to discus my latest bloodwork regarding my hypertriglyceridemia. Lo and behold, as I'm reading this article, she sends me an e-mail with the basic prelims. (drum roll please) I started the year with tri's of 940 (Thanks Dad!!!) and total cholesterol of 206. Diet and exercise were not effective. Take my word for it (or don't but It's all we have to work with) I eat a very healthy diet, and use a workout that would punish the average 20 to 30 yr old, and would outright kill most 40 and 50 yr. olds. To say that I find this frustrating would be a gross understatement. My Doc chalks it up to genetics, and convinced me that a pharmaceutical solution was needed. I hate the idea of getting on the drug wheel, but at 57, and losing my Dad at 63 and my uncle at 55, I figured WTH. Enter Vascepa in Feb. 2013. Doc's e-mail today was a shot of great news for me. The subject line read "Your EXCELLENT Labs" So, for what it's worth, here goes: Tri's down from 940 to 212 and total cholesterol 206 down to 117. We will discuss the details tomorrow, and I will be glad to report anything pertinent. I am awed by the analysis and comments on this site and subject, and I just thought you might appreciate some "boots on the ground" perspective regarding,(as my Dr. calls it) my "wonder drug". I know one clown doesn't make a circus, and I don't know what the future holds for AMRN or Vascepa, just don't try and get between me and my 4gs daily. That would be detrimental to YOUR health!!!!!
