Comparing AMRN to ARNA to VVUS is pointless, nothing in common - VVUS BOD and CEO were thrown out because they were thieving crooks looting the company while mismanaging it, nobody wants to partner with them to sell to old generics in Crapysmia. ARNA is a viable biotech that has proprietary technology that enables them to create designer molecules targeting specific receptors - VVUS never invented anything in their entire existence.

Only similarities between AMRN and ARNA are they're one dog ponies, highly shorted/manipulated, with their very existence depends on increasing sales for their only viable product - B has only been on sale since June 11, while V, with a much smaller current patient population, has been on sale since Jan. ARNA pays nothing for Eisai's sales force and only 10% for any post approval studies, while VVUS and AMRN are currently on the hook for all costs.

I own large amounts of both stocks, my two biggest holdings, because I believe in the science behind both drugs, which hopefully will win out over time - it's all sales revs for both of them from here on out - and the two drugs are actually complimentary, as they address related health issues. May they both prosper! (and screw VVUS wink )
