That's usually refered to as "pumping". It goes with the "dumping".

Remember the article questioning the timing of insiders selling stock at a time when the hype, if true, should have had them buying hand over fist? That was a couple dollars ago and was a giant red flag.


WARNING! There is still a whole lot of downside left. Something is up and someone knows it, hence the relentless selling. When the news is out and the jig is up, this stock could plunge so hard in a single day that it will take your breath away.

70 or 80 percent gap down is not unusual in these failed bio stocks with the wrong news. That is usually followed by a full day of trickling even lower as capitulation finally sets in.
