Cake, I've used actipatch for shoulder, elbow and back pain, they do work well. To really hold them in place you need to use tape, the kind from a first aid kit. Stenosis is a tough nut to crack, actipatch from my experience is best suited to acute conditions. That being said, it's definitely worth a go, Motrin and stretching as tolerated may help as well.
