Question that came to mind while thinking about the arb enforcement ruling we are waiting on.

Given that the ICC award was basically a schedule of rates that are to be applied to sales figures provided by Nokia, should we be expecting to see the NY court appoint a special master to administer a favorable ruling?

Seems like somebody will need to stay on top of Nokia even after they are ordered to comply with the ICC award. Somebody with the court's authority to get the sales figures, direct and validate the required computations, establish the final amounts due, and verify that those funds are transmitted to IDCC's account in a timely manner.

I'm thinking that work should get underway regardless of what Nokia decides to do about any appeal process. Put the funds in escrow if there is an appeal pending.

This interested observer is hoping to hear a "Pay up!" order directed to Nokia come out of Judge Pauley's court sometime soon. Be even better if that order includes a sharp crack of the judicial whip.
