piratica--I’m just guessing, like everyone else, about JJ’s continued refusal to hand down a judgment in this case. I tend to go with a poster who hazarded the guess a couple weeks ago about the necessary size of the judgment -- even if it’s the minimal 3% of about 20%.

According to the poster, such a judgment (Probably of several hundred million dollars) would be the largest jury award in the entire history of the jurisdiction. 5% to 7% would of course be within the realm of possibility as called for by the facts and applicable law, and would thus increase the award substantially more.

Some judges don’t necessarily want to gain a reputation for such things. But in this case the draw of the lot fell on JJ to sit on a case that by its nature involved big bucks. IMO he should just suck it up and rule. Do it. Get it over with.
