Fannie Mae-No Politics (FNMA)

BMP, I could look it up but wasn't Fannie profitable several quarters prior to 8/12 agreement? And, were not the dta looking treasury and FHFA in the face prior to that decision on 8/12. How could they not know the increasing profits and dta were coming? Do they operate in a vacuum...... Or was treasury, fed, FHFA to busy conspiring on ways to legally steal assets and profits from FnF to bother with these little known facts?
