I visited DGI Wednesday in the late afternoon when my deliveries brought me near it. Not the easiest place to find because its street door address is out of consecutive order, as are several places in NYC.
Went up 1 flight of stairs, and saw the DGI sign by their door.
Went in the door, and since there was no one (no receptionist) in the room when I entered, and I didn't see anyone in the front room when I announced my presence "Hello?", I proceeded to open the side room door where there were several people (about 8 or so) busy at their desks/cubicles. Really nice digs, by the way, and much nicer than IRG's old digs.
I introduced myself and stated that I was there doing due diligence on WSGI, which had recently hired them. Dian Griesel herself was not there, and a lady who looked in charge asked me to come back to the front room with her, where she was joined by a couple of other people.
I asked what DGI does for companies, and an older guy said they do Investor relations and public relations work. The lady said I could find out info from their website, and I said I was part of a message board that did first-hand DD when we could, and it was important for me to check out their digs, which I complimented them on.
I asked if they did road shows, and the reply was yes.
I told them I didn't want to know anything I shouldn't know, which put them at ease, since my appearance had apparently unduly surprised them, and they were acting a little uptight about my being there.
The lady asked my name, and how long I'd been invested in WSGI. I replied with my name, and said several years. I couldn't think of anything else to ask them, so I thanked them for their help (what little that was), and turned to leave, but turned again, and said "Oh, in case you need a good messenger service, here's our rate sheet...we're the best in the city", and I handed her our rate sheet. She commented that our messenger colors were the same as DGI's (orange), and I smiled and said "Ah, yes, we're well coordinated...have a great evening!" And so I left, and as I did, I think I heard the guy lock the door behind me...not sure of that, though (lol). smile
All in all, I think we're in good hands with DGI. Time will tell, as always.
