Uncovered calls/puts

I'm curious how easy it is to set up an account to be able to sells calls and puts that are uncovered. Is it just a matter of depositing 25k and having a margin account? Are there any particular sites that are recommended? Do the trading sites require that you prove a certain level of knowledge concerning options etc.? Thanks
