Just out of curiosity, could you (or anyone) explain why?

Yes, I know of his former job at DNA. But if he was what people here claim (the "rainmaker" and the "hand behind Aviston") one might thought he would have risen to a position like CMO, or even CRO (I just made that title up).

So my question is, what is the factual basis of this deep respect?
