It probably sounds like I have it in for SS.

But the point is this. As CEO, you get the salary and the plaudits when you succeed.

You also get to own the failures.

If you try to dodge responsibility, you just look bad. Especially if you have positioned the company in a place that requires relentless development costs and that generates little income.

This is, after all, Wave's actual position. The good "positioning" of the company is relative to a fanciful market that hardly exists.

Embrace your own mistakes and folks will respect you for it. Not just formally, but actually.

And guess what. If the time comes when Wave succeeds in fact, you get to take responsibility for that also.
