wbmw, edgarcayce - I think the truth is somewhere between the extremes you have submitted. I must admit, though, that it's probably a little closer to the case that wbmw made in this post, though not perhaps in his practice. Edgar, take wbmw, EP, Tenchu and Semiconeng for what they are - knowledgable (sometimes) people who frequently bring useful info to the board and provide the devil's advocate view, which helps us maintain balance and avoid "irrational exuberance". There are others here who also are knowledgable, but who have a blind spot to reality when it comes to AMD. Learn to sift through them all and you can get a fairly balanced picture.
