Yeah I should have brought in more papers and data for omega 3's and EPA. I had hoped once I explained exactly why I was interested and showed that I had knowledge of how omega 6's and 3's effect the body he would see things my way. Since he immediately brought up the failed niacin study I think he is just being conservative since it sounded like he was a big prescriber of that. The other thing he mentioned was that he would have to give me more blood work because I had one blood test that came back with elevated liver results which was when I had pneumonia for almost a month. After I got over that my liver tests were all good but it still shows up on my medical info.

Thanks for all the info. I will look through it and we be even more prepared next time I see the doc.
