Dan, Re: I found out today that the Opteron launch was slowed down a bit when Intel's threats coerced Solectron into dropping their Opteron board, which has left a couple of OEMs scrambling to find alternate sources for motherboards.

Is this second hand info, or did you read it from a news source. I would be interested in reading more about Solectron's sudden disinterest in Opteron development. Maybe Opteron isn't looking so promising anymore?
