The extortion group at Intel continues to work hard, but lying to the public in order to sell them an inferior product at elevated prices is getting to be harder and harder for Intel.

That was a fairly professional fake - whoever Intel hired to do the graphics was worth what Intel paid them.

I found out today that the Opteron launch was slowed down a bit when Intel's threats coerced Solectron into dropping their Opteron board, which has left a couple of OEMs scrambling to find alternate sources for motherboards. There are still boards from a number of manufacturers that will be available at launch.

Intel may not be so hot at producing innovative computer products, but they're great at denying the public access to any alternative.
