Amrn is down today because Motley Fool implied that Vascepa will not get NCE status until December at the time the Anchor indication is approved. There are two things wrong with this assertion. Firstly, NCE can be awarded as soon as May on the Marine indication since, by lowering LDL, it is clearly superior to Lovaza. Secondly, even though the PDUFA date for Anchor is in December, the FDA which has already gone through an SPA with Amarin for Anchor, may signal approval of Anchor earlier than that.
