What I hear is that once the RAM can't take care of live mem requirements the hard drive swap file is used to create artificial mem to assist the live memory. Something like that anyway.
All I had to do was get rid of all pics and videos on my user account and all of a sudden I had half the hd back -- like 65GB woohoo! -- now it kicks a$$ again weeee!
