Hi, SS, that river is the Clackamas River. From its head waters, it runs about 60 miles along Hwy's 224...212/224 and meets the Williamette River at Oregon City, which is the end of The Oregon Trail. The OT started about 1840 and over 100,000 people came over that trail.
OC is just south of Portland OR.
That pix of me, was taken at what's called, "The Big Eddy" in the river. About 35 miles up river from Oregon City, Hwy 224, in the Mt. Hood Nt. Forest.
A VERY beautiful river.
Did youseethe movie, "A Runs Through It?"
