Very nice Rick.

In the video they mention an "optical engine" at each end of the cable. That's an interesting way of saying modulator and detector.
So, there must be a laser source and 5 Gb/s modulator at one end and a photodetector on the other end. These are more than just "cables"; there are devices integrated at each end. Corning - yet another large system supplier??
