I found out after buying Win8 that Win7 is available if you buy a business version of a computer in a store. I wanted Win7 too but the person who bought me this computer INSISTED on getting Win8. My fault for not sticking to my guns. At the time Win7 was not available for regular consumers but I see that you can still buy WIN7 loaded computers if you go to the business repertoire of a computer store like Best Buy, Future Shop or Staples.

I guess if it is a WIN8 issue it would almost be worthwhile buying WIN7 at Tigerdirect for $100 to salvage this computer, though I would much rather get a refund and buy something else or just NOTHING.
