Jae learned the value of hard work the old-fashioned "immigrant" way. Jae came to the United States with his parents and worked since he was 14 years old while always attending school full-time. Ambitious and driven, Jae earned his B.A. from the University of Maryland at College Park and, while, still in school, became a sworn police officer at the age of 21 and has risen through the ranks to the position of Police Sergeant.
Outside the office, Jae has been actively involved with the National Security Law community. He was selected to attend the University of Virginia School of Law's 20th National Security Law Institute. Jae and his wife, a physician working at the Permanente Medical Group, reside in Montgomery County, Maryland with their daughter.
*Jae has received specific written approval by the Montgomery County Ethics Commission to engage in the private practice of law except that he may not take cases adverse to Montgomery County or criminal cases in Montgomery County.
