As a professional, you're going to apply demonstrated guidelines and standards in your treatment decisions. This is the scientific method. You adhere to mandates that are designed to prevent harm to the patients you serve. I for one am grateful that most physicians like you do exactly that, it protects us from ill-considered intervention. I know that our arguments to the contrary will likely not change your perspective on the current state-of-the-art as regards Vascepa.....but

You've taken the time to look over these boards and present a reasoned case for the efficacy of Vascepa as a CHD treatment. It is a limited use drug at this time. Take a look back at post #3700 on this board. Doesn't the study discussed there strengthen the argument for Vascepa? Enough so that a closer look is warranted now, today, not 2 or 3 years from now when Reduce-It is resolved. How many more lives might be saved in the interim?
