Am I missing something or is this whole discussion silly? Take a near indestructible case, mount some stuff inside in a way that blocks the energy transfer, attach the screen with a resilient mount and do anything else to make it work. I'll bet I could come up with some sort of seat of the pants, ad hoc solution. If Apple wants a Liquidmetal case they will make a Liquidmetal case and it will work. It ain't anti-gravity we're talking here.
