92%of Revs R from CGI. GTE wants out?

Anyone cares to address this concern. Shuting down of 92% of its business can not be good yet stock went up 16% today. Other business units do not make money for GTE to sustain itself in operations. Is this move completly insane and suicidal ? Since when stocks value goes up on hope but no profitability and NOW move to decrease 92% of their revuenues. What am i missing here ? This type of lack of guiadance from GTE managment is what i was furiesly mad about in past.

FROM 10-Q3, 2005 http://biz.yahoo.com/e/051114/gte10-q.html

"Revenues. During the current period, our gross sales were $22,299,516 representing an increase of 197% over the prior period when our gross sales were $7,509,206. Our revenues increased primarily due to revenues from our subsidiary, Centerline and its subsidiaries, which recorded consolidated revenues of $20,482,932 (or 92% of total revenues), consisting primarily of wholesale traffic revenues (telecommunications minutes) and related network management fees. The remainder of our revenues continued to be predominantly from telecommunications minutes going through our Philippines network, which generated $1,784,574 (or 8% of gross revenues).
