For those not familiar with the FDA process for approval or denial must understand that there are two "speed" processes--standard and priority (accelerated can be assigned to priority). Standard is applied to drugs that do not meet the criteria for those diseases or ailments not considered a priority and the process can take as long as two years. Perhaps more. However, with those drugs considered a priority, for priority diseases (cancer, Alzheimer's, AIDS, depression, etc.) there is an accelerated process, broken down into three tiers: Priority Review, Accelerated Approval, and Fast Track. The review rate is dramatically decreased for these. Still, the process from IND application to finish can take as long as a year and a half. Even with perfect communication between developer (BMSN) and FDA.

So, as I said in my post last night, chill. Rome was not built in a day.
