IMHO This is another example of conflicting DoD programs. The AirForce was just trying to take advantage of the collected dignitaries @ Palmdale. I hope they were minding their budgets & booked their flights at the same time. But this will always be the case when dealing with the branches of the military/industrial complex. In light of the current budget cuts all GTErs would be wise to curb their expectations regarding military contracts. I'm sure Bob Jones is well aware of funding ficklness in the government arena (X-37).

SwRI has many irons in that fire. My immediate check of their website showed zero info on this event. Bad PR coordination.
