At a local college campus there is a nearby area consisting of mainly bars and some restaurants. Naturally, it is a partying mecca for the students. Lots of drunken kids, some fights and a few robberies. Local LE got the bright idea to install a lot of "security" cameras in this area.

Not long after, an LE supervisor was going thru the tapes and noticed a lot of zooming-in on student breasts and rear ends. Supposedly the offending officers were identified and "disciplined."

But, have no doubt, this technology WILL be abused regardless of any laws or disciplinary action and that's what worries me!

Imagine a cop "checking up" on his soon-to-be ex-wife. Or a girl he admires. Or a personal enemy.

Just as cell phone cameras capture embarassments for posting on Facebook so will this tech be used for much more nefarious ends.

I don't want to live in such a world! Do you?
