revlis, I think you have the right approach to this thing. I think the next 9 months will in fact tell the story. My gut feeling is this deal really put the screws to Nokia and Samsung and will be the road map for all new licensees.

I could be wrong but I'm thinking if IDCC took less for past infringement ERICY may have signed for a % that would produce much more from Nokia and Samsung from 01/01/02 until now. Add to that higher royalty rates from future licensees and now this deal looks favorable.

As usual I'm willing to wait and see how this pans out. I personally feel many deals will be done on a timely basis because like Samsung and Nokia there probably are many other companies waiting on the ERICY resolution.
