Ranger - IMO, Nokia signed and paid for use of those "questionable" patents pretty much at a nuisance rate....similar to Siemens...but of course much higher than Motorola did(their other cabal members). They never expected an ongoing rate to come about from the Ericsson trial, and IMO it wouldn't have if S/E hadn't left the Ericsson fold - it would have gone to trial. Nokia has no choice but to fight the ongoing rate for those patents, especially at the IDCC declared numbers.
