HOME PRODUCTS SERVICES PARTNERS MARKETS ENGINE HISTORY ABOUT US

We have assembled the team and the partners that have the know how that enables us to go from concept to production and thus profitability in a timely and efficient way.

Eric Barger
Eric is committed to the success of PowerMax engines globally. His hands on approach to the engine technology has created the awareness that he is one of few globally that understand the engine technology from concept to integration into products and distribution of products to customers. This was validated by a global strategy consulting firm who evaluated the various companies researching, developing and or producing this type of engine and concluded that Eric and his team were in fact the global leaders in this technology.

James Barger
Eric's father, in any business where timing and the flow of operations are critical. Jim has an extensive background in executive management, operations management, customer service and support as well as the development of new technologies and ventures.

Scott Heidlebaugh
Scott brings years of business experience to the BTL team. As the Director of Business Development he will be leading the efforts with our partners and team to commercialize the PowerMax engine technology.

Larry Cooper
Larry has executive business experience and specifically brings over a decade of knowledge of the PowerMax engine technology to the BTL team.

Bud Westerman
Bud has over 20 years of aerospace, project management, and engineering experience; working on a variety of engines, materials, testing and applications across DOD and other industries.

Geoff Daly
Geoff is an accomplished, seasoned Mechanical and Industrial Engineer has more than 30 years of industry experience. Geoff will be responsible for Component Identification, Approval and Documentation.

Our Partners
An internal team is only part of the equation. We have chosen the world leaders in each discipline that is required for you to be successful in your new product development and commercialization. Whether it be component supply, thermal simulation, market surveys and or any other phase on our services page we have brought together a well rounded team to serve the needs of our customers requirements. A good leader always knows when to go outside to get the professional help needed to round out the team for the proper completion of any given product.

Our Technical and Application Team
We have several team members that come from various market disciplines. from marine to aviation as well as materials to finite analysis. We have the knowledge base to take the PowerMax engines into the global market place in various market segments and applications due to this wide breadth of knowledge from our internal and external team members.

Our Engine Specific Experience
Engine Design:

We understand the principals of our PowerMax engine technology including, but not limited to, materials, processes, and limitations of the technology.

Engine Manufacturing:

Developed processes and overseen a team that was responsible for commissioning a facility that was fully capable to take castings and process them into engine components ready for assembly and deployment into various products.

Engine Application Design and Integration:

Installed engines in various recreational, industrial and other applications including motorcycles, sand rails, ATVs, commercial lifts, concrete saws, outboard engines, gyrocopters, hovercrafts and airplanes. Sourced components necessary to complete such installations including cooling systems drive systems, exhaust systems, transmissions, propellers etc.

Engine Specific Information:

Extensive knowledge and experience in the development, testing, and manufacture of PowerMax type engines.

Eric is one of the very few, globally, that understand the processes involved to design and develop PowerMax type engines and integrate them into products. Beginning early in 2005 Eric implemented a research and development facility that culminated eight months later in a running first generation engine. Eric has accumulated over 4,000 hours of testing in the dynamometer cell and various in-the-field applications, this effort began in 2005.

During this time while working with various companies and products we have learned the absolute “must do” requirements to have a successful engine program, as well as a successful business plan; to go from concept to volume production.
