pn....you might wish to re-think a couple of things....

first....this:

Please, I was talking about Wall Street....

Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are those who are payed $1 Million per year,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

$1million per year is NOT confined to Wall Street....there are many who make that in private sector real goods and services...

which leads to:

As for your assertion:

Quote:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
but, in regard to normal business and real goods and services, if we look closely, we'll see that people are paid for two things:

1) decision making

2) bringing in revenue
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Completely ludicrous!

There is no quantitative measure to evaluate productivity or advancement in a corporate world.

There is no real measure of talent.

It's all an illusion.

as I said, you might like to re-think this: bringing in sales revenue is a quantative measure of success....THAT'S NOT LUDICTOUS!!

not to mention, there are means of measuring productivity....there are case studies galore which are examined in the classroom in a business school....

while your assertion about those in power and advancement with bias is not without some foundation, it is NOT the at the core of the corporate world.....MONEY/REVENUE & PROFITS ARE.....and, to that extent, those who have the talent to provide revenue and profit rise faster than those who have no talent but know the boss....

and, the foremost reason business do not thrive for ever and ever is due to product life cycles....not humanities' faults.....(unless you consider "death" of a human being a fault).
